Abbazia Moscato D’asti 2010, Docg

Piedmont, Italy.

One of my favorite dessert wines.

Moscato grapes are naturally sweet and luscious.

This wine is not fully sparking, it’s frizzante, it has nice soft light bubbles.

It will be great with desserts or with soft cheeses.

Aromas of peach, honey, some gentle floral notes.

Perfect to finish dinner with this wine on a deck on a summer warm evening, easy to please everyone.

Young, but already great wine!

Color id deep opaque red. With pinkish rim.

On the nose bright aromas of dark fruit, cassis, spices.

On the palate dry, medium bodied with tight tannins and fresh acidity. Rich, with black berries, vanilla, coffee.

Long juicy finish.

Will be great with steak. Can age and will get better in a few years.

Alicante Bouschet is cross of Petit Bouschet and Grenache.

I would say, that is something familiar of Grenache is in this wine.

Different but interesting, a bit edgy, almost rustic.

Deep ruby color.

On the nose licorice, cedar notes, red berries. Getting little floral later.

On the palate-dry, medium to full-bodied, medium tannins, balanced acidity, licorice, oak, spices, plums. Lot’s of minerality, red cherries. Long, jammy finish.

Blend of 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc.

This Italian Bordeaux. Place, where supertuscans were born!

Dark, almost black color, deep ruby red.

On the nose very intense, earthy aromas with blackberries, oak, coffee.

On the palate dry, full bodied, rich, chewy with elegant tannins. Continue flavors of berries. Long, silky finish.

Very warm wine.

Rhone-South. France.

Opaque purple color. On the nose-richness of aromas, very floral. Cooked fruit, smoke, meat.

On the palate, dry, very concentrated, forest, leather, tobacco, red fruit. Amazing, long finish.

Wine is still very young, but great quality with rounded tannins and balanced acidity.

On the palate wine is dry, aromas continue develop on the palate, spices, sweet cherries.

Very nice Primitivo. Will go great with sausages, grilled meat, or pizza.
